1 Week Down, 20 Years Or So To Go

So, we've officially been home for just over a week now. So far so good. Obviously there's still a ton of things I still need to learn about Keagan. Here's a quick rundown of what I know so far.

Keagan may be small - but he has a BIG temper. When he decides he's hungry or tired - he screams like I should have known about the problem 15 minutes ago. Those screams are soemthing to hear... and rest assured, everyone can hear them.

Keagan eats like a 250 pound linebacker. This does not bode well for the future food bills in the Brown household. It seems like the boy is always hungry - but he's little so I figure he's just trying to catch up to his cousin, Ollie.

Keagan LOVES his Grandma and Grandpa. After spending two weeks with them (one in Ethiopia and one here in Renton) - he's already about as spoiled as a kid can get. Grandpa had him making some of the funniest faces I've ever seen - imagine the little guy trying to make fish lips - but not quite succeeding. It's hilarious. (I'll have to try and post a picture of that later but I'm not sure I have one right now.) Unfortunately, Grandma and Grandpa had to head back to North Dakota this morning. That's ok, we'll be headed back to Sterling in July so Keagan can meet the whole family.

That's about it for now - but I thought I'd post some pictures of Keagan vs. Zoe Round 1. He is fascinated by the cats. Talladega runs for cover but Zoe is brave enough to let him get thisclose. She's in big trouble when he finally starts to crawl/walk.

What?! I know I'm adorable

More Pictures

Keagan's taking a nap, so I have time to post a couple more pictures. Enjoy.

Gotcha!

As promised, here are a few pictures from the first day with Keagan. Notice that he was not screaming - and even managed a few smiles. More pictures to come later.

We're Home

After a very long plane ride and very little sleep - we made it home yesterday afternoon. Now we're just trying to settle into a new routine that's completely opposite of the day to day schedule he's used to. Hopefully we'll be able to post pictures later.

Last Post Before Leaving

It's just about 8:30 pm here in Renton. I believe we're all packed (or more to the point - I HOPE we're all packed) and it's going to be a very short night. The shuttle will be here at 3:50 in the morning to take us to the airport - then it's off to Ethiopia.

Stay tuned - I'm going to try and update on the road. If it doesn't work - I'll try to get pictures up as soon as we get home.

With that - WE'RE OFF!

Finished Nursery

Grandma and Grandpa were hard at work on Monday finishing up the nursery for Keagan.

Here are a couple pictures of the finished project. The only thing missing - a noisy little boy.

1 More Week

In 1 week, I'll be sitting on a plane - headed to Ethiopia to pick up Keagan.
We'll be sitting (and sitting, and sitting) for quite a while.

For those who want to know, we leave at 7:30 am Wednesday morning and arrive in Ethiopia at 7pm Thursday night.

I don't care how many time zones you cross - that's still going to be one LOOOONNNGGGG flight.
