Preschool Pictures

This was taken on my second day of preschool.  I had to say pickles and monkeys. Sounds silly, but the picture turned out pretty nice, if I must say so myself.

My First Day of Preschool

I started class at a new preschool today.
I was not at all thrilled with the idea.
But I did calm down enough for Mommy to get one good picture.  (and it turned out to be a pretty good day actually)

More California

Mommy thought it would be fun to have a caricature of me done.  We asked some guy at the San Diego Safari Park to draw one.  He didn't really finish the picture and it doesn't really look like me - but he got my outfit pretty much spot on.
Mommy's favorite vacation picture. Keagan, Grandpa AND Grandma.

California Vacation Videos

Golfing lessons with great-aunt Joyce. Golf is hard. I didn't really want to pay attention.

It's a little known fact that remote controlled cars run faster if you crouch down to their level.
Learning to cast a fishing line.

Reeling in the big one is tough, especially when your hat keeps getting in the way.

We caught a fishy, we caught a fishy!
I let Grandpa do all the dirty work.

Fishing With Grandpa

We stayed at a place in Escondido that had a fishing pond right on site.
So Grandpa and I got a fishing rod and some bait and headed out to do a little fishin'.
We used a rod with a very little hook and the bait was a mushy, old hot dog.
Here we go! Come on fishy.
The fish took our bait so we had to reel back in the line.
Sitting and waiting for the fish to bite.
Maybe there's a fish hiding back here somewhere.
 We got one!
Look, we finally got one on shore.
 It's a big one.
 Check us out!
 All right!
 Let's test our luck again.
 Grandpa got another one.
 Wow! That's a big one.
I'll stay over here, it's tail keeps flopping around.
Maybe I'll get a closer look.
Sure, I'll help you hold it up.
Whatcha doing Grandpa? Taking the hook out?
Here's our third fish.  We actually caught 4, but the big one got away.

Sea World

The second day, we went to Sea World. I've been looking forward to this one for 4 months!
We saw a woman swimming with a dolphin.
 The dolphin posed for pictures.
Then it jumped around a while.
And it did a crazy backwards swim thing.
There were people dressed up as colorful birds flying around on wires above the water tank.
Then a bunch of dolphins jumped up out of the water together.
This lady was being pushed around under water by a whale.
Then it looked like she was doing some sort of cheer on the whale's nose as it jumped out of the water.
This woman is water skiing on the backs of 2 dolphins. (she fell off the first time)
The whale hopped out of the water for a picture.
Then 2 whales jumped out of the water together.
 SHARKS!!!!!!
Come on Mommy. Time to check out more stuff.
This place is awesome. Plus, they've got some fun music to walk and dance along to.
Checking out some turtles (I believe) inside in the air-conditioned aquarium.
 Look, a clumsy land shark.
 Now those are big turtles.
There was a very cool tide pool attraction. You could reach in and touch stuff - like starfish.
Maybe if I reach a little bit deeper I can find some treasure.

This looked like a pretty fun water ride. But the people who got off the ride were soaked. We decided to skip it.
We also saw a cool killer whale show.  Lots of jumping orcas.
Cheese!

My California Vacation

I went to California with Mommy, Grandma and Grandpa.  Our first full day there, we went on some very steep, windy roads to visit my Great-Aunt Joyce.
She had her own private swimming pool. It was my favorite part of the visit.
This floaty thing was awesome.  I tried out some brave new moves on this one.
I did a little floaty surfing.
Then I decided to try jumping onto it.
I did this over and over and over and over..... It was awesome. I couldn't stop giggling the entire time.
Then we tried golfing. Joyce tried to teach me how to hold the golf club.
I had my own unique swing though.
I gave up on golf pretty quick though. Time to put away the clubs.
Then I challenged Joyce to a race. I won!
Check out this cool motorized boat.  I didn't get to use it by myself too often because I couldn't get it to go slow enough.  I love to go fast.
Grandma wanted to take a picture of me on the golf cart. Grandma didn't know that Joyce left the thing running. When I hit the gas, the cart started rolling down the path. Grandma tried to pull on the back and Mommy jumped in front of the cart.  There was plenty of yelling involved.
I did get to drive the golf cart (while Joyce and Mommy rode along)
Then I played with this remote control race car.
It went pretty fast down the street.  There weren't any other cars on the road.
