A Case of Miscommunication

I asked Keagan what he did in school today. Of course, I didn't get any sort of straight answer. Then we were eating and he told me that he was playing puzzles with his friend until Miss Michelle (his teacher) put him in the chair. (that's timeout in school).  When I asked him why she put him there he said "Because she was mean to me and wouldn't listen.  She'd better say sorry".  Interesting to see how he can twist things around to make it look like he didn't do anything wrong.  And I never did find out why he was in the chair.

4 Year Checkup

Keagan went to the doctor today.  He weighs 36.8 pounds - nearly 4 1/2 pounds more than he weighed last year.  His weight is about average.  He's almost 42 inches tall - which is in the 85th percentile - and nearly 3 1/2 inches taller than last year.

Doctor says he's doing great. He got 2 shots and barely even made a whimper.  Little man is growing up and getting so brave.

More Verbal Gems From Keagan

Tonight, I told Keagan that I was going to throw him out in the rain to clean him off. He stopped, got real serious and said that he didn't want the rain to wash away his nice brown skin.  I assured him he wouldn't have to worry about that happening.   The stuff he says just cracks me up.

Keagan Says The Strangest Things

Keagan and I were playing basketball this morning. I made a basket and Keagan starts shouting "Yay, Mommy! You changed my life". He immediately stops and says "Mommy, what's a life?".  I found it hilarious that he'd even heard that phrase before. However, how do you explain to a 4-year-old what a life is? Stumped me.

I've decided that I really need to write a book about some of the wacky things he comes up with.  Today, he's also decided that we have to tiptoe down the hallway so we don't wake up the sharks and crocodiles.

4th Birthday Party

Grandma and Grandpa couldn't come to my party, but they sent me lots of cool stuff for my birthday. I got this book reader with lots of books. Now I can read books all by myself.
Mommy went a little bit overboard with my pirate-themed party.
She decided to make each guest individual treasure chest cakes.
They turned out pretty cool though (if she must say so herself)
This year, we had the party at the Children's Museum in Everett. That place is awesome. These were the goody baskets Mommy made for all my friends.  They each got a treasure chest too.
I got to sit in a throne during the party.
Just blew out my candles after everyone sang Happy Birthday.
 Messy mayhem ensued.
This guy came in and sang a few songs to us.  I'm not sure if I liked it or not.
 PRESENTS!!!!!!
Sol thinks I'm taking too long.
I got a Victor train from Sol & his Mommy and Daddy (and a book about Dragons who love tacos)

I got a couple books from Rebecca & James to help me learn my letters and numbers.

I also got a cool book to color with markers.
This one is to help me learn my shapes.  I pretty much have those mastered already though.
I also got a monster truck and some pirate stuff. Pretty cool.
Daniel and his parents got me a cool hot wheels van, a boo called 'I stink' and a Curious George book about a train ride.
Derek, Helen and Kailyn got me these awesome rain boots. Those will come in handy this winter.
This is the treasure chest I got from James & Rebecca. That key is tricky.
Jim & Penny got me this awesome Lightning McQueen scooter. It makes noise and lights up too.  I was very excited (Mommy..... not so much. She's worried about broken limbs).

I also got a cool pen tool that will help me learn to read from Mike, Kristy, Ella, Ollie & Grace.  Mommy took a picture but it was really blurry.
These are all the kids who came to my party today (and Kailyn's Daddy).

Happy Halloween

This year, I'm Captain Keagan Hook
