It's only his second lesson, but he's doing pretty good if you ask me.

 

Swimming Lessons!

Mommy thought it would be a good idea for me to take swimming lessons. I love swimming pools but I wasn't sure if I wanted to go though.  It's at an outdoor swimming pool - so it was a little cold out (45 degrees). But the pool was nice and warm (95 degrees).

At least it was a little bit sunny. My teacher's name is Calvin. I had to ask him about 6 times though.  He told me I had to stand on the ledge on the side unless he was right next to me.  But I jumped into the deep middle a few times when he wasn't looking. Mommy about had a heart attack the first time because the teacher wasn't even in the pool yet.  I thought it was funny.

He let me wear these really cool goggles.  Then he showed me how to blow bubbles with my head under the water. I loved searching for toy squid he put in the pool. I was really good at grabbing them.  But I kept forgetting to take deep breaths before dunking my head, so I swallowed a LOT of swimming pool water.

Look, I'm swimming all by myself.  I should be ready to go in a lesson or two :)  I got to play with 4 other kids who came for their lesson for a few minutes.  I can't wait until next Saturday.

White Pass Winter Festival

 

Today I went to the White Pass Winter Festival with Uncle Mike, Ella and Ollie (Mommy came too.)

We couldn't wait to get to the snow after a LOONG car ride.

Mommy didn't get a very good picture, but this is part of the huge snow castle we went sledding on.

Mommy and Uncle Mike wanted to take pictures. I wasn't interested in posing

Time to go tubing.  I went down a bunch of times. The first trip I went down sitting on the tube. The rest of the times I went down on my tummy.

No brakes on this thing, we just had to fall off.

 Walking in the snow isn't as easy as it should be.

 Mommy had to take a picture of this kid. Who let's their child eat snow off of their boot?
