I'm Getting So Big!

Look who just got a big boy bed.

This thing's fun to play on.

Puppy likes it too.

It's even comfortable to lay down on. We'll see how it goes when I try to make him sleep on it.

A Major Milestone

For those of you playing along at home - I apologize for not updating the site for quite a while. I will try to get some new pictures of the little man up soon.

Yesterday we marked a small victory - or a major one in my book. My son finally decided to call himself "Keagan". For the longest time - he's insisted that his name was "Deedee". No matter how hard I tried to get him to say Keagan - he'd never do it.

Conversations usually went something like this:
Me: Keagan. Say Key
K: Key
Me: Say "gan"
K: Gan
Me: Keagan
K: Deedee (or Thomas - depending on his mood)

Yesterday he decided that it was fun to see Mommy do major cheers when he said "Keagan" - so he's finally learning. He also thinks it's a lot of fun to say his middle name - Abayneh". Whatever works for him.

He's also started to potty train - which is an interesting adventure. Usually he only tell s me that he has to go potty when he's trying to avoid going to sleep. He's smarter than he should be.

I will try to get pictures up soon.

Hurray!

Keagan just used the big boy potty successfully for the first time. He went pee right after waking up from a nap. Mommy had a big celebration, he enjoyed the m&ms he got as a reward. I consider it a big milestone - hopefully it's a small step toward not having to buy diapers any more.

Learning My Numbers

Learning numbers is exhausting! (The video is supposed to go before the picture - but I can't figure out how to do that.)

This numbers DVD I got from Grandma and Grandpa is pretty cool. I like to jam along with the music.

It's Official - Sort of.

Keagan is officially an American citizen! We got his Certificate of Citzenship today - but on the first line - they list him as a female. So now I get to try and get some help from USCIS to get it fixed. They are NOT a helpful or friendly bunch. And I thought my paper chase was finished.

Catching Up

Mommy's been slacking lately - so here's what we've been up to lately.
Mommy put up this tree. We have lots of "kih-mas" lights around our house. However, I think that silver stuff on the tree is full of spiders.

Look - I like to get in my crib all by myself. (Luckily he hasn't tried to get out the same way yet)

And I LOVE to sing and dance. I don't let mommy get video of my dancing - and she had to strap me in to get video of me singing. American Idol - here I come.

2nd Birthday Party!

Even though my birthday isn't until tomorrow, I had a big party today.
I got this cool cap from my Uncle Joe.
(Forgive the fuzzy pictures, there's something wrong with Mommy's camera)
Mommy made me a Thomas The Train cake. It took her forever - but I didn't feel like eating any of it. I didn't want any ice cream either. So I celebrated with a glass of birthday lemonade and ate a birthday banana.
These are the ballons and bags full of goodies for the other kids at my party.

I'm not sure why these people are staring at me and singing. Plus, Mommy lit my cake on fire. There must be something wrong with them.
Look at all the people who came to see me.

Opening gifts is tough. They want me to keep messing with paper when I'd much rather be playing with the gifts I've already opened.
Hi Grandma and Grandpa. We see you peeking at us from the computer in the corner! I guess it's the next best thing to having you here.

My cousin Ella helped me take the present out of this big bag. I got a cool Rumbling Chuck Dump Truck.
