Last night - Mommy and I spent 3 1/2 hours at the local emergency room. I woke up with a terrible cough and had a hard time breathing - and Mommy wanted to make sure I was ok.
What did we find out? I've got a case of croup and a cold. Fun times during the summer.
It was ok - except for the mask I have to breath out of every few hours. I do NOT like it and fight very hard when Mommy tries to make me do it.
The good news - I'll be fine in a couple days and it's only really bad at night. So no sleep for Mommy!
Croup stinks. I've spent many a night with a croupy child in a bathroom with the shower running to get the steam going. It's such a horrible noise though you can't help but freak when they cough. Good luck, I'll be thinking of you through sleepless nights!

ReplyDeleteoh, poor little buddy! Croup sucks-- I remember wondering what "croup" was until it landed at our house. We love seals, until your precious cargo sounds just like one. Hang in there Momma-- it does get better.
