4th of July in Fargo

We got to take the motor home to Fargo so we could see Uncle Joe for the 4th of July.

 It was super hot, but Grandpa was a trooper and played on the big playground set with me.

 I love swinging. I wanted to do this all day. Grandpa's arms may have objected.

 There was a cool bridge to cross. The biggest obstacle was this big kid.

 It was smooth sailing once he got out of the way.

 This slide was awesome.

 I accidentally landed on my butt the first time. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th times I did it on purpose. It was pretty funny.

 This is our view of the Red River where we camped in the motor home. Mommy wouldn't let me go swimming in the water. She said it was dangerous, the water did look pretty yucky though.

 We went across the river to see the fireworks show.  I got these cool glow stick things.

 Grandma brought along black-bottom cupcakes. Grandpa helped me with the first one.

 I decided to just lick the frosting off the 2nd one.

 Grandma made a pretty comfy chair while I watched the fireworks go off.

 It's trickier than it looks.

Mommy had to drive Uncle Joe's car back to Fargo. I rode in the motor home and watched her out the back window. But that 10 minute drive was tiring and that bed is comfortable. I didn't quite make it all the way.

Chillin' At Grandma & Grandpa's House

 I went on a fun golf cart ride with Grandma & Grandpa.

 Grandpa even let me help drive (he's not too sure about my skills)

 We went very fast - and crashed through the low-hanging branches on trees. It was HILARIOUS!

 Grandma makes the best red slush. I wanted some for breakfast, lunch, snack & supper every day.

 And no trip to North Dakota is complete without some pool time.

 I actually agreed to wear some shorts - but I really wanted to go without any like I do in the bathtub.

This squirt gun was kind of fun too. Too bad I wasn't any good at shooting the bugs.

He's Famous (well kinda)

One of Mommy's friends told us that my picture was being used for advertising at a store in Kirkland, so we went to check it out.  The store (Simplicity ABC) made a deal with Classic Kids to use some of their photographs.  Katie evidently decided 2 of the pictures she took of Keagan last year were cute enough to use.

 This one is pretty cute.

 The guy at the store gave me this candy to thank me for smiling in his store every day. (It's sour apple taffy - delicious).

Mommy doesn't remember this picture, but this is the other one they're using in their slide show.

Flattery Will Get Him Everywhere

One thing became clear today, I don't dress up enough.  I got a hair cut and color today. When I picked Keagan up from daycare, he said "Mommy, did you get your hair painted?"  I told him yes and he said "You look so pretty!".

I also bought a skirt just for fun - when I put it on at home, Keagan was completely baffled.  He asked what I was wearing. I told him and his said "You're a princess! You're so pretty."  He then made me twirl around, because clearly that's what princesses do.

(but then he got mad at me because I made him go to bed, so the princess powers didn't last long)

Another little milestone for my big boy.  Tonight he had to go potty - which he always does sitting down on the toilet. But tonight he informed me that he wanted to go standing up, because that's how he does it at daycare.  I'm glad he learned there, because I'm pretty sure the lessons got messy.

Keagan's Big Commercial Shoot

Keagan got a part in a Dell commercial.  He played the youngest of 3 boys in a family. This scene is his 4th birthday party.

 There was a real birthday cake with candles... but the presents were fake. (I'm the kid in the green and yellow plaid shirt at the head of the table)

 The group sang Happy Birthday several times.

 I snuck a taste of the frosting.

 The guy in the black shirt was in charge. He liked to shout out stuff for us to do.

 This was the mess behind the scenes.

 See, more singing.  The woman in the blue shirt was my fake mommy for the day.

 They let us eat the cake. I had 2 pieces and 5 little cups of ginger ale. Mommy couldn't say no.

 More party fun.

 We spent a lot of time downstairs between shoots. This is Levi. He came to my 'party'.

 The boy in red is Sean. The one in blue is Anthony. They were my pretend brothers and were a lot of fun to play with. The girl was just someone else at the party.

He's a Charmer!

Sometimes I think I should publish a book of random things Keagan says.
Over the weekend, my darling son was playing and let out a little fart. He stops dead in his tracks and yells "Hey, I burped out of my butt".

Reacting like the mature parent that I am, I burst out giggling like a 10 year old. 

Kids.

Who Needs A Nap?

Keagan refused to take a nap today. This was him 2 hours after climbing out of bed - trying to watch a movie.

Mother's Day

We had a very busy day today. Mommy took me to the airport first (because I really wanted to see planes).  Then we headed to the Point Defiance Zoo for a fun morning.

 I'm not sure what these guys are doing - but I think I'll join in.

 It took us a long time to get to the aquarium because we couldn't get past this slow moving peacock.

 There's a lot of green, grassy hills to run on at this place.

 Hard to tell, but these are the new spotted leopard cubs. One was sound asleep and the other one kept trying to wrestle him awake. He finally gave up and went to sleep too.

 Look! A Sumatran Tiger. He's pretty big. I'm glad he's on the other side of the glass.

 Penguins! They swim fast.

 Time for a mid-morning snack. I wanted ice cream and a lollipop. Mommy made me eat these mandarin oranges instead. But I did get some juice in the crocodile sippy thing.

 Time to get dirty in the Kid's Play Zone.

 Maybe I'll just sprinkle some dirt on this turtle since he's not moving.

 Found some more fish.

 The zoo is exhausting. Mommy tried to get a picture of me sleeping, she quit snapping pictures when she saw a police car in front of us.
After lunch at home and a brief failed nap - it was off to Snoqualmie Falls.

 This is what it looked like at the first observation area.

 I'm bored waiting for the people to move out of my way so I can see the Falls some more.  Don't I look spiffy in my hat though?

 Here's a better picture of the Falls. We kept getting sprayed by the mist.

 More fun places to run here. There was this flat space and a really steep hill that I ran up a bunch of times.

Time to refuel. This time Mommy let me have some ice cream bites.Then - off to home.

I got to play in this fun sand pit at the zoo. It was a ton of fun, until I got some in my eye.

Lots of fun hills near Snoqualmie Falls. I ran up and down this one over, and over, and over....
